"The writing center has been a blessing for students because of the added guidance it provides whenever students are in need of it. Writing centers play a very crucial role in teaching students how to properly express themselves and Ardeshir Cowasjee Center for Writing has benefited a number of my students who were having difficulty in writing essays. I have observed a marked increase in those students' writing abilities who have been regularly taking help from the writing center." |

"The Writing Center has played an important role in the facilitation of students undertaking core English reading and writing courses. In order to meet the course objectives, students need to be familiarized with a wide array of genres and essay styles, all of which are assessed in the form of summative and formative assessments. The Writing Center becomes a reliable resource where students can book one-on-one appointments to seek guidance in completing these assessments. Since students can attain help outside of the classroom, their ability to write in English is significantly improved over the course of the semester.” |

"The Writing Center performs a crucial role in helping students perform better in writing and literary courses. Writing is a complex and layered process: it starts with an idea, built with patterns and facts, and then the findings are curated to present a narrative. All of these steps require deep critical thinking at all levels. Sometimes in doing, students lose sight of the bigger picture and get caught up in the nitty-gritty and this tendency to overthink inhibits their writing potential. Like they say, all great writers are good editors. This is the missing function that the Writing Centre performs for students at IBA, it provides them with mentoring and guidance to keep sight of the bigger picture in completing their writing project at hand. In addition, the Writing Centre has also helped many students who found it difficult to converse and write in English overcome this difficulty and become more proficient in their use of the language." |
