“A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people.”   -Thomas Mann

From Monday through Friday, the Writing Centre is open five days a week.

Main Campus

Location Fauji Building 4th Floor Room No 401 IBA Main Campus
Working Hours 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Walk-in consultations are always welcome. You can also schedule an appointment by sending an email to wcentre@iba.edu.pk.

Because each writer approaches each issue differently, a standardized writing course will not be able to accommodate all of them. Our advisers will meet with you one-on-one at the ACCW to provide tailored feedback to help you write down exactly what you want, in the way you want.

You are welcome to come see us at any time during the writing process. You can come in for a brainstorming session to help you figure out the best way to approach your work. Our consultants may also assist with the paper's overall structure and organization, grammatical problems, and overall clarity and persuasiveness. We aren't just another proofreading or editing service; we won't just improve your grammar and send you on your way. Instead, we'll teach you how to enhance your writing by addressing it, understanding your thought process, and helping your express yourself better.

Students aren't the only ones who can benefit from what we have to offer. Faculty members are welcome to visit for advice on professional writing and academic papers. Workshops, dramatic reading sessions, and other activities are frequently organized by the Writing Centre to help the IBA community develop a greater understanding for literary work.

Important Notes:

  • Walk-in sessions are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. To secure a session with a specific consultant at a preferred time, it's best to email and schedule an appointment.
  • Please note that our consultants cannot complete your work for you; their role is to facilitate your improvement.
  • Our consultants do not assign grades to your work.
  • To ensure availability, we recommend coming in at least two days before any deadlines; last-minute sessions cannot be guaranteed.
  • When visiting, bring either a digital or hard copy of the draft you'd like to review with the consultant.
